Responsibilities:

Draft, read, and interpret legal documents, including trustee appointments and resignations and trust amendments

Produce summaries and accountings for trust beneficiaries

Input information for fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041), gift tax returns (Form 709) and estate tax returns (Form 706)

Communicate with trust and estate beneficiaries regarding distributions

Attend trust beneficiary meetings

Assist in retitling assets, identifying provisions, and executing principal payments

General bookkeeping duties as needed
Requirements:
-
5+ years of probateProbate can refer to the process of settling the estate of a deceased person. Read More and trust administration experience in a law firm, trust department or accounting firm

In-depth understanding and appreciation of the trust and estate administration process from start to finish

Proficiency with cloud-based applications such as Office, QuickBooks, and CRM software
-
Highly organized, adaptable, focused, and able to handle multiple tasks and cases simultaneously
-
Able to work independently, under pressure, with minimal supervision
-
Excellent references and credit check required
-
DISC Profile preferred
-
Notary license a plus
