Mackenzie’s practice focuses on estate planning and estate and trust administration. She prides herself on providing a personal connection to help guide families through what can be a difficult and complicated planning and administration process.
Each family has a unique structure and set of goals. Mackenzie will support them with her knowledge, communication, and comfort. Her goal is to create a safe, personalized experience that covers all questions and possible outcomes.
Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Mackenzie advised clients on trust and estate tax for both grantors and beneficiaries in the accounting sector. She was also a tax manager at a large global accounting firm where she consulted on various state and local tax issues. Her background in tax and accounting allows her to provide direction on income, trust, estate and gift tax consequences both federally and for states. She works with clients to provide a comprehensive tax plan to reduce exposure.
Mackenzie is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, Florida and Washington, D.C. She graduated from the University of Florida with her B.S. in Journalism. She earned her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and then her LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University in 2014.
She lives in Boston with her partner Andy, and their two dogs, Po and Petunya. She loves cooking, volunteering, traveling, and spending time with family on the coast of Maine in the summer.
