Debra Carrasquillo Hedges, Esq., Senior Associate
Debra Hedges practices in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and business succession planning. She has advised families, individuals and business owners through the estate planning process and develops customized estate plans to address the specific needs of her clients and their family members. Debra joined the firm in 2019.
Prior to joining the Borchers Trust Law, Debra was an associate with Beliveau Law Group in Waltham, Massachusetts and an associate in the trusts and estates department of Honigman, Miller, Schwartz and Cohn, LLP in Detroit, Michigan. She has also served as an appellate attorney with the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and as a staff attorney with the United States Bankruptcy Administrator’s Office for the Western District of North Carolina.
Debra graduated from Boston College Law School (J.D., summa cum laude, 2001) where she was an Executive Editor of the Boston College Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She also holds a B.A. from Boston College (magna cum laude, with highest honors, 1994).
Debra is admitted to practice law in the states of Massachusetts and North Carolina and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of North Carolina.
A Vermont native, Debra now resides in Medfield, Massachusetts. She enjoys spending time with her two young adult children, especially traveling with them or enjoying their company when they are back at home.
