FAQs
Who will be my point of contact and attorney at Borchers Trust Law?
Senior Paralegal Courtney O’Riordan will be your first point of contact. She serves many of our estate planning clients and can direct trust and estate administration clients to the appropriate contact. When we schedule your free review, we will introduce you to the attorney you’ll be working with. All four of our attorneys assist clients in estate planning and are wonderful to work with.
Do I have to inform my family about the change?
It is very important to inform your chosen fiduciaries, such as your power of attorney, executor, or trustee of the change to the new law firm so they know who to contact for help in an emergency. Our team can assist you with what to say and how to say it if you wish.
Will I be charged to have my file reviewed, and is the new firm more expensive?
There is no fee to have your file reviewed by an attorney at Borchers Trust Law. Additionally, we are offering a Complimentary Review Meeting to get acquainted with you, discuss your questions/concerns and share more about how to plan to take care of you for years to come. We charge a fixed price for most matters, which will be fully disclosed at the time of your first review with us, or sooner if you request.
Will my documents have to be updated?
Moving your files to our firm does not necessarily mean that changes to your plan will be required. During your free review with an attorney, we will discuss any recommended updates or action items based on your personal circumstances and assets, changes in the law, or changes in fiduciary choices.
What is the best way for me to get acquainted with the new firm?
