TrustCASE – Streamlining Estate Settlement System
Our TrustCASE™ system provides for quick family-lawyer collaboration and predictable legal services.
It is a service that administers and settles your estate through a collaboration among family, trustees/executors and lawyers. Every estate is eligible for this service, whether or not there is a trust, or even a will.
Who is it for?
TrustCASE™ is for anyone who is responsible for settling a loved one’s estate. If you are the person put in charge, this may be the help you are looking for. This service is available to all estates – those that require a probate (going to court) and those that do not.
Why TrustCASE?
To be honest, as lawyers we’d rather be loved than to be seen as part of the problem. We asked ourselves, “What would we like if we were the client?” The answer: Transparency and efficiency. The TrustCASE™ schedule of meetings and jobs to be done – by family, by the executor or trustee, and by the law office – will help assure your satisfaction in this otherwise tedious process.
Fees
TrustCASE™ establishes a flat fee for many of the basics, and we’re innovating to come up with more predictable, flat fees where we can. Until then, most work is done on an hourly basis at this time.
Collaboration
TrustCASE™ is a Collaborative effort among family, trustees/ executors and lawyers to administer and settle the estate. Borchers Trust Law will describe each of the necessary steps – from evaluating the assets and legal documents, to selling property and liquidating securities, to preparing to file taxes, to accounting for income and expenses, to making distributions.
Organization
Folks who have used our Asset Trust Organizer™ and Trust Support™ systems in the past will have the smoothest TrustCASE™ experience, but every estate is eligible for this process. You do not need to be existing clients to participate in TrustCASE™.
Estate Planning
Finally, we wrap up the process with updated estate plans for the spouse and for the heirs (as desired), so that they will have peace of mind about their own affairs going forward.
