Trusts Go Above and Beyond Wills
You have a will, which can be enough for certain issues, such as providing for minor children or deciding where and how your assets will be disposed of at death. But a will is not necessarily enough if you want to avoid court involvement at death, or if you want to save taxes, or even if you wanted to help to protect some of your assets from the costs of long-term care. A will can be useful in limited circumstances, but we are big believers and proponents of the power of a trust to address issues that go above and beyond a will.
